NEW DELHI- SHOPPING & FOOD

New Delhi , India

Here I am with another blog where I just can't resist food and shopping.

New Delhi, national capital of India is situated in the north-central part of the country on the west bank of the Yamuna River, close to Old Delhi.

Delhi is not only a capital city but one of the most interesting cities of India famous for its food and tourist attractions such as Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Parliament house and some really beautiful gardens. Delhi has been one of the most favorite places for street shopping such as Karol Bagh, Delhi Haat, Palika Bazaar, Sarojini Nagar , Lajpat Rai, South Ext market and many more. But must talk about Chandni Chowk, one chaotic place to shop may not be an easy place to walk around but is one of the most fascinating corners for shopping is so much fun here as you can shop as per your budget and at the same time get stuff of your choice. Be prepared for long walks in the narrow super crowded place. It is a famous place when shopping for weddings like Lehenga, Saree, Salwar Suits, Bangles, Jewelry and so much more within your budget.

I NEVER miss Delhi Haat ( village  market ) .The purpose of Dilli Haat was to promote the traditional handlooms and preserve the tradition and culture of India. Here you can find traditional Indian clothes with most of the items on sale . You will also find handcrafted traditional items including handlooms and home decor items. These items have unique design and beauty of the products which make them the favorite choice of visitors.

I just can't miss on Delhi’s best street foods and sweet shops. Mouth watering Chole Bhature of Paharganj , Paranthas of Paranthe wali gali , Butter chicken Kebabs ( not me but my family foodies as I am a pure vegetarian) Rasgullas of Bengali sweets shop, Karachi Halwa of very old Chaina Ram Confectioners , Dosa at Madras Dosa at Connaught place . This is what makes Delhi unique and makes us feel like a home. I have shared only a few places of interest but there's more to explore Delhi. It is crowded but worth visiting.

Not to forget my relaxing comfortable stay at Radisson Blu Plaza hotel which is very close to the Indira Gandhi International Airport. Enjoyed my stay !
